Phillip Sherburne recently made an article on beatportal.com about female presence in the industry. The article is tied in with the Next Girl DJ competition and female producer/DJ site  We Make the Tea.  Personally I think it’s a little strange having  “all girl”  line ups, you don’t see or hear about specifically marketed “all guy” line ups do you? That would be funny. I think if you work hard your talents will be rewarded. Anja schneider, dance disorder, hannah holland, j. phlip, kate simko have their say.

Nu-Jazz group ‘Jazzaroma’ from Madrid, Spain has been on my radar this week! Warm, sunny, jazzy goodness! This will definitely be in my play list for the summer time.
